Welcome To The New Socialite

I still remember the old days when it was easy to spot a celebrity. If an individual was on the cover of a magazine like 8 days, it pretty much meant the star had arrived. And it was not easy to be a star. Everyone had to pay their dues before they could sashay across the red carpet, do a snap turn and flash their pearly whites at exploding flashes and an adoring fans.

Now, things seem to be easier. With blogs and bloggers riding on the yet untested unproven wave of opinion that social media and their creators matter, a new kind of celebrity has walked into the room.

Are these new celebrities more like Becky Sharp or Holly Golightly? It is too early to tell.

With a little bit of Nick Carraway as a guide, I am here to cover this new wave of celebrities from the world of blogs and social media.
